Blame Lies With JC by Hibs

Ya Beauty - Celtic tucked away, unbeaten, CIS Cup holders - Delighted to be a Hibby.

That was Sunday at 4pm.

Tonight at 10pm every Hibby in the land had that same old feeling. The one of bitter disappointment.

As the players ran around the Stadium on their warm down most Hibees were in the pub trying to warm themselves up after an appalling performance.

It's not as if the support knew it wasn't going to happen. Games against Gretna, Dundee United, Aberdeen for the majority and Falkirk away were deemed alright as we managed to scrape a point or snatch a victory. Inverness came to Easter Road and bullied, harrassed and cajoled Hibs into mistakes but we rode our luck and got the points.

Tonight though the luck ran out.

We knew it was coming.

4-1 at home to the Pride of Lanarkshire. Sorry it's not good enough. Even the late consolation doesn't make it any better.

Tonight Hibs were abysmal. No ideas. No probing. No lifting the head to see what pass was on. Awful. From first to last. Free Flowing Football? You're havin a laugh!

Who takes the blame?

Well in most people's eyes tonight JC blundered big time. Stevenson at left back and Murphy in a kind of inside left position to accomodate him. Bad mistake.

Motherwell looked threatening everytime they played the ball into that channel.

Stevenson is badly out of form and the substitution after half an hour on Sunday and at half time against Motherwell should ensure the player is rested for the next few weeks.

Everyone can see his confidence is shot. Let him regain it in the reserves.

Murph was overrun in the midfield. No-one knew what he was supposed to be doing.

This seemed to have an effect on Beuzelin and Kerr who were also lost. Boozy in particular could have stayed at home given the influence he had on the match.

Finally the dream team up front?

Curier - Why keep on trying to chest the ball if it's not your strongest asset. Donaldson - great goal and lots of effort but looked lost once Hibs were chasing the tie.

John Collins was a fantastic footballer.
Surely he can acknowledge his failings.

Tonight should have been a night for Saturday's finishing 11 to go out and continue where they'd left off.

By not doing so Collins has made a rod for his own back.

Whilst probably sounding harsh it's a reality that young Lewis is struggling badly at the moment. His passing is awry, crossing abject and his whole body language is wrong.

It's about time the strongest team played each week and we lost some of JC's favourites.
