Coventry City star Peter Ndlovu still going

South African Premier Soccer League club Mamelodi Sundowns are set to offer a new contract to former Coventry City star Peter Ndlovu.

"We are very close to concluding a new deal for Ndlovu," said CEO Afzal Khan.

"He has not been part of the team as we are still engaged in talks concerning his new contract, but be assured Peter will be playing for Mamelodi Sundowns this season."

The Zimbabwean, now 34-years-old, made his Sky Blues debut in 1991 and went on to appear nearly 200 times in a City shirt, providing us with magical goals such as the winner against Aston Villa in 1991 and his Match of the Day special to equalise against Norwich a year later.
