Defoe no foe |

Defoe came off the bench in last nights UEFA cup game at the Lane with 20 minutes to go and put himself on the score sheet with two clinical finishes proving he is still one of the great spurs strikers of late. But is it enough to see him start in our next premiership outing against Bolton? Jol expertly avoided answering that question in the interview after last nights game however I remember a few seasons ago when it was Keane who was out of favour and Defoe was getting the starts. Robbie kept coming off the bench making his mark by scoring and then finally earnt his starting place which he holds currently. With that in mind it makes all our strikers raise there game levels, however I would like to see Defoe and Bent start a premiership game together but while we are lagging at the south side of the table will Jol play a new set of cards leaving Berbatov and Keane fighting for a start? |
