Internet and mobile rights for Premier League live is with Nimbus

Nimbus Sport has bagged the mobile and internet rights of the English Premier League football for three years and 80 countries.
The rights include China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE, Saudi Arabia, in Asia, Algeria, Egypt, in Africa, and Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece and Belgium, in Europe, besides Brazil, Australia and New Zealand, a release said today.

The rights cover 1140 English Premier League matches that will be played until the end of the 2009-10 season, the release said.

This was the first time EPL has offered internet rights separately from broadcast rights, said Nimbus Sport CEO Digvijay Singh.

The 2007/2008 Barclays Premier League season, widely regarded as the elite club competition in world football, kicks off on August 11 and will showcase 380 matches until May, 2008, the release added.
