Plymouth Argyle have four players in the end of season list of the top 100 players in the Championship.

Actim Stats have released their list of the top 100 players in the Championship for season 2006-2007 and Argyle have four players in that elite index.

Barry Hayles

Barry Hayles leads the way for the Pilgrims with the striker being rated as the 29th best player in the Championship. The veteran forward picked up 516 points.

In second place for Argyle is keeper Luke McCormick with a placing of 81st in the Championship with 435 points. Midfielder David Norris is not far behind with 434 points and is rated at 83rd.
Lilian Nalis also makes the top 100 list at number 97 with 413 points.

Birmingham City's Gary McSheffrey is rated as both the overall best player and the best striker in the Championship with 735 points.

Matt Murray of Wolves is the best keeper in the league while Gary Alexander of Preston North End is rated as the best defender. The best midfielder according to Actim is Sunderland's Carlos Edwards.

Birmingham and Colchester United are the only clubs to have two players each in the top ten list.

Points are awarded per game to each player in the Championship throughout the season and announced by Actim.
Actim Stats is a collection of team, player and match statistics. They are derived from all the actions that take place during a match, including goals, shots on target, corners, fouls, offsides, passes, tackles, blocks and clearances.
The data is gathered by two methods - real-time match analysis and the study of video footage. The real-time analysis is conducted by ex-professional footballers who report on action at the grounds as it happens. More detailed analysis is obtained by studying videos of the matches. The top 100 list of players is announced weekly throughout the season.
