What team would you like to see |

Here we have two line-ups. On the left, is my preferred line-up and on the right is Donachie's. I feel you can't really change the defence - they are solid enough and with the likes of Senda and Robbo about, we have committed, young and promising players. And again with our centre-midfielders, there isn't really a debate. It's on the wings and upfront that Donachie is getting it wrong. Hoskins and Simpson, although young and some would say inexperienced, have lots to prove and bags of pace. Smith and Hackett would put chances on a plate for them both and it would be goals galore. That is the theory anyway. But Donachie insists on playing with Smith on the right, where he predictably cuts inside every time. When he is on his natural left side, he can cross the ball much better and generally looks more confident going forward. Now Chris Hackett, who, for some unknown reason, has fallen out with Donachie, should start. Make no bones about it, he is electric and in my opinion, he can cross the ball at pace better than any other player in this league. Maybe you could play Fuseini in their somewhere, but the team on the left would mean victory for us tomorrow, I'm certain. What remains to be seen though, is whether Donachie agrees. |
