This off season Everton has continued to be unable to land big names and have had to settle for recruiting players from lower leagues in the United States. However their season long loan of Jo could end up to be one of the most underrated moves during the off season. Jo has the ability to break open a game and could really help the team make that extra push this year. The team also brought in Anton Peterlin and Cody Arnoux on one year deals in hopes that they can provide an extra boost.

The team had a lot more money to spend but the extra spending done by Manchester City made the task of adding players quite formidable. Even still it seems that Moyes has made Everton the 5^th best team in the Premier League, yet it will be quite tough to take the next step. The still need to bring a quality midfielder to Goodison, especially after Leon Osman and Tony Hibbert were exposed during last year’s FA cup final. However upfront it will be important for Phil Jagielka, Yakubu and Arteta to lead the team, and they are all capable of it should they return well from injury.
