The Spanish La Liga has long since been one of the leagues to watch in the world, with many preferring the technical skill and flair to the slow paced Italian game or the bustle of the Premiership. La Liga has quite a few teams with dozens of decent players, meaning that games can be changed in an instant due to a bit of magic. La Liga can now be watched due to the live soccer online at www.oleolefootball.com, so if you've always wanted to watch it but never had the chance you can watch it regularly there. The Spanish La Liga has four teams that are seen as capable of winning it at this point in time; Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla and Valencia. Real Madrid of course won it last year, sneaking the title by the virtue of their better head to head record against Barcelona. The club strengthened even more in the summer, getting in a new coach in Bernd Schuster hoping that he would bring back the attacking football of old, while also buying attacking wizards such as Royston Drenthe, Wesley Sneijder and Javier Saviola. Real have tended to be weak at the back, however they strengthened there too as well, bringing in Gabriel Heinze, Pepe and Metzelder. Barcelona strengthened too, looking to wrest back their title from the Bernabeu. The Catalan side brought in the world class Thierry Henry and left back Eric Abidal, but their good form this season has mainly been down to a player that was already at the club- Lionel Messi. Messi is fast developing into one of the best players in world football at the tender age of just twenty years old and his performances this season have even led to him being called the Messi-ah by fans.

As for Sevilla and Valencia, the duo are well capable of winning it, although it will take some doing to beat heavyweights Real and Barca over the course of a season. Sevilla even led the race at one point last season but succumbed towards the end after being hit with a congestion of games while Valencia never really challenged, finishing ten points behind. Valencia have already won La Liga twice this millennium and will look to do so again, and with the likes of David Silva, Manuel Fernandes and star striker David Villa in their squad they will feel they definitely have a chance of doing so.

This season's title race has started off with a bang, with just a four point gap between the top four teams in the table. Sevilla have faltered, but Villareal have rose to challenge, despite their 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Real Madrid. With just two points separating Real Madrid and Barcelona, this season's title race promises to be just as exciting at last and remember- you can watch all the action with La Liga live at www.oleolefootball.com online.
