When the fourth went in on sixty minutes with a strike from Muller, the writing really was on the wall for Hertha. They did manage to pull a goal back on 71 minutes, but Olic netted Bayern’s fifth just six minutes later. Hertha scored a consolation goal in injury time at the end of the game.

For their part, Hoffenheim go into the game in Munich on the back of a 3-1 away defeat at struggling Stuttgart. They did have a player sent off in the 52^nd minute though when the scores were still level at one apiece. Hoffenheim are seventh in the Bundesliga and have 25 points to their name.
