Dinamo Bucharest take on Sturm Graz this coming Thursday evening for a Europa League Group F clash, and while Graz are definitely eliminated from the Round of 32, Dinamo need a miracle to get through themselves. The way things currently stand in the group, Turkish side Galatasaray lead the way with ten points, crack Greek side Panathinaikos follow with nine, then Dinamo follow in third with three points and finally Graz sit at the basement with just one point to their name.

The teams met in matchday one in Austria, where Dinamo prevailed by 1-0. It was Dinamo’s first encounter with Austrian opposition in European competition while the Austrians have played once in Romania, defeating Sportul Studentest Bucuresti 2-1. Dinamo have not actually won a home European tie for seven games; a run dating back to November 2006 when they defeated Bayer Leverkusen in a UEFA Cup group stage match.

Dinamo Bucharesti are currently in seventh position in the Romanian league with 22 points to their name from fourteen games (prior to this weekend's games), while Sturm Graz are fourth in the Austrian Bundesliga (out of ten teams) with 27 points from sixteen games, seven points behind leaders Rapid Vienna.
