Blackburn v Sunderland Live

The sides meet after a goalless draw at the Stadium of Light in the original fourth round tie. Both sides threatened with decent chances but the game was a scrappy affair and fans will hope for a better game of football this time round despite the expected weather conditions. Blackburn moved down into the relegation zone after a 0-0 draw against fellow relegation strugglers Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium. New signing El-Hadji Diouf could make his debut against his former club after not being able to appear at the weekend and with no real injury problems manager Sam Allardyce has a wide range to choose from on Wednesday.

Sunderland meanwhile are currently ravaged with injuries with Djibril Cisse, Paul McShane, Teemu Tainio, Nyron Nosworthy, Craig Gordon and Darren Ward all set to miss the game. The Black Cats come into the game following a 1-1 draw away at rivals Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear derby with Cisse netting the only goal for Sunderland.
