The final pre-season game of this 2009-2010 season will be held on Friday August 7th as Everton v Malaga live will take place right here on OleOleFootball. Everton, from the English Premier League, will be looking to end their pre-season on a positive note against Malaga from La Liga. If you feel the urge to watch Everton live then OleOleFootball is the place to be this weekend.
Everton has had an on and off pre-season so far this year. They began with a disappointing and short loss to Bury and then bounced back with a 4-1 victory over Rochdale. The winning did not continue though as they were stunned with a loss against River Plate, in large part due to a miracle strike by Ariel Ortega. Everton then finished up with a win against the MLS All Stars, a 2-2 draw with Coventry and finally a loss to Blackpool.
There was a lot of promise shown by striker Jo but a lot of worry came from Everton fans when he was injured in the game against Blackpool. He will not be ready to play against Malaga but should be back in time for the first game of the season against Arsenal. The good news for the team is that Steven Pienaar and Joleon Lescott will be returning to action against Malaga after missing a game or two apiece.
For Malaga this will not be their first came against a team from the Premier League as they are coming off a victory against Aston Villa in the 2009 Peace Cup. They did not make it any further in the tournament though even after getting strong play from Albert Luque and Jordi Pablo.
Will Everton be able to overcome their on and off pre-season or will they get stung with another loss and dampen their hopes for this season? Be sure to find out by watching Everton v Malaga live on OleOleFootball.
