Burnley travelled to bottom of the table side Portsmouth this past weekend; a Portsmouth side rejuvenated by the placement of new manager Avraam Grant. His team duly obliged with a great 2-0 home win, at the same time condemning Burnley to their fourth straight Premier League game without a win. In fact, Coyle’s men have only won once in their last seven league games and the team are starting to slip from their original great league position.

Thirteenth in the league table with seventeen points may have been just about where the Burnley hierarchy expected their team to be at this stage of the season, even a bit lower, in fact, but the recent run of winless games has rather detracted from the fact that the team made such a great start to the season, including a win over champions Manchester United.

Fulham are currently sitting in eighth position in the Premier League table and have 22 points to their name; and only four points off a European spot at the moment. Last time out they took on Sunderland at Craven Cottage and managed to beat the Wearsiders by one goal to nil. Bobby Zamora scored the only goal of the game as early as the seventh minute.
