A Steven Gerrard brace and a Ryan Babel strike were enough for the Reds to clinch three valuable points. The defeat has left the Hammers two points behind seventh place Fulham and the last European place. The Londoner’s won their last away game, but face a difficult task in winning at Goodison Park.

West Ham, like Everton have a major injury list with Dean Ashton, Valon Behrami and Danny Gabbidon all out with long term injuries. However Kieron Dyer, James Collins and Scott Parker could all return to the squad after missing recent games.
