Portsmouth will take on Everton in the very first match of this week in the Barclays premier league. The season did not start well for both the teams with Portsmouth right at the bottom of the charts. Everton, however, improved a bit and moved from the 19th position last week to the 13th position by winning its last combat. They will try to continue their turnaround in a game you can watch as you can tune in to Portsmouth vs. Everton live this weekend on OleOleFootball.
Portsmouth is yet to have a victory celebration this season as it has lost all 6 matches played. Their confidence swooping even lower after every defeat is clearly visible on the field. The last match ended up in a 2-0 defeat against Aston leaving the team still pointless this season. Paul Hart, the team manager, was too disappointed by the defensive mistakes which killed the game for the team. Though he still believes that pompey will improve and make a comeback.
Everton, which had its worst start since 2004, has already made a comeback after a pretty unexpected 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in its last match. Saha led his team to victory by scoring 2 goals, one in each half. The Nigerian defender Joseph Yobo gave the opponents another blow shortly after Saha’s second goal. The fans will have their eyes on Saha in this match and it should be pretty easy for Everton to get through the Portsmouth defense.
Everton has won just 2 out of the 5 matches played but the team seems to have returned to form. The players will have their spirits high and will be aiming to move even further up in the charts. Portsmouth, on the other hand will try to bring some cheer to its fans on their home ground. Though, even if they win this one, they will still remain at the very bottom. Tune in and catch every moment of the game by signing up with OleOleFootball and watching Portsmouth vs. Everton live.

Portsmouth play host to Everton in Saturday’s early kick off, looking to secure a victory which will take them clear of the Premier League bottom three. The Toffees however are still hot on the heels of Aston Villa and Arsenal for a Champions League spot. Portsmouth go into this encounter in 17th place, only above the relegation zone on goal difference. Pompey were unlucky in their last Premier League game, conceding a late equaliser at Middlesbrough. The experience of senior players such as Peter Crouch, Sol Campbell and David James should be enough to help them climb away from the drop zone. England goalkeeper David James has been in superb form in recent weeks, including denying Middlesbrough an injury time winner at the weekend.
Portsmouth face an anxious wait to see if winger Jermaine Pennant can play, the Liverpool loanee picked up a calf injury at the Riverside Stadium and is doubtful for this clash. Manager Paul Hart is likely to stick with England pair Peter Crouch and David Nugent upfront, as he tries to guide his team to a desperately needed three points.
Everton are on a superb run of form, having suffered only one defeat in 18 matches that defeat came against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Everton maintained their good run of form at Goodison Park last Saturday beating Stoke 3-1. They also have one of the strongest away records in the Premier League, winning more games away from home than at Goodison Park.
Tim Cahill picked up a knock at the weekend against Stoke, but the Australian midfielder is expected to recover in time for this clash. Everton are likely to start with in-form Brazilian Jo upfront and David Moyes also has French striker Louis Saha to call on from the bench.
