The Gunners looked on pro-form from the kick off and goals from Adebayor, Cesc and Van Persie enabled Arsenal to secure their first victory in Europe this season.
Sunderland have enjoyed a fine season thus yet and could be on the surprise contenders for an European place at the end of the season. After evading relegation last season, the Black Cats have added class and experience in abundance to their squad and look to be in fine form coming towards the mid-way part of the Premiership campaign. Sunderland however, did end up on the losing side last time around owing to a 2-1 loss against Aston Villa. The Black Cats have secured seven points from six matches thus yet and they will be looking forward to increasing that tally when they host the Gunners this weekend.
