Tottenham find themselves in 10^th place in the Premier League, after a 5-2 defeat at Manchester United in their last game. It started off so well for Spurs as they took a two goal lead with goals coming from Darren Bent and Luka Modric. It all went horribly wrong for Spurs in the second half, as braces from Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, coupled with a Dimitar Berbatov strike were enough to give the score line a convincing gloss. Despite that defeat Spurs find themselves only three points from seventh place Fulham and the last European spot. Harry Redknapp will expect his side to record victory over a struggling West Brom side.

Tottenham have an injury doubt over Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko. However defender Michael Dawson has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle/foot injury. Better news for Spurs is that defender Alan Hutton is now fit and will battle it out with Vedran Corluka for the right back berth.

West Brom have struggled to find form this season and find themselves rock bottom of the Premier League, but they did manage to give themselves a boost in the last game by defeating Sunderland 3-0 at the Hawthorns. Jonas Olsson, Chris Brunt and substitute Juan Carlos Menseguez scored to secure the Baggies seventh victory of the season.  There is still a belief within the club that survival is still possible, despite the side being six points away from safety. If there is to be a great escape it has to start here with three points.

West Brom will be missing key midfielder James Morrison, who currently has an ankle problem. Striker Ishmael Miller is also missing for this clash with a long term knee problem and defender Leon Barnett is a doubt for the Baggies with a slight knee problem.
