West Ham United will face Liverpool at their home stadium, The Boleyn Ground, on Saturday, 19^th September. With Benayoun scoring a hat-trick in the 4-0 win against Burnley, he surely forms an integral part of the team as well.

With Liverpool comfortably seated in the 5^th position with nine points, there will be lot of catching up to do for West Ham who are currently in 13^th position. West Ham certainly would have to play their mettle to secure a win against Liverpool. West Ham play host to title challengers Liverpool at Upton Park, in the late kick on Saturday afternoon hoping to claim three valuable points, in the race for European football next season. West Ham are on a high after reclaiming seventh spot, with a 1-0 victory away at Stoke last weekend, Diego Tristan scoring the only goal with a superb free-kick. West Ham are now in seventh position, the last European place. Although the Hammers are in seventh, they have Manchester City, Fulham and Tottenham all just one point behind them. With such competition it’s imperative for them to keep picking points up.

West Ham have a host of injury problems, with Dean Ashton and Valon Behrami both ruled out for the remainder of the campaign. They also have doubts over Carlton Cole, Scott Parker and James Collins.

This is a must win game for Liverpool as they look to keep the pressure on champions Manchester United. Liverpool helped their title challenge with a 3-0 victory over Newcastle at Anfield in their last game, Yossi Benayoun, Dirk Kuyt and Lucas Leiva scoring the goals.

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez should have striker Fernando Torres back for this clash, after the Spaniard missed the victory over Newcastle last weekend. Daniel Agger could again be preferred to Martin Skrtel in the heart of the Reds defence. Midfielders Xavi Alonso and Javier Mascherano both picked up knocks against the Magpies, but are expected to be fit to be in the squad.
