Celtic crushed Falkirk 4-0 in the third round of the Cup a month ago. Tony Mowbray’s side lead 1-0 at half time thanks to Scott McDonald’s 28th minute strike, and three second half goals from Paddy McCourt, Chris Killen and McDonald again gave the Hoops a comfortable 4-0 win.
Hearts, who finished an impressive third in the league last season, have had a wretched start to their new campaign. They are currently languishing in ninth spot, and their fans booed skipper Michael Stewart off the pitch in their weekend game against Falkirk. The Jambos drew that game 0-0, their fourth draw in nine league games.

Currently the Celtics are leading the Scottish League table with 22 points as they have played 9 matches so far and won seven out of those nine matches. The matches to be held this week are yet to take place and the results will surely bring about a change to the scoreboard but so far the Rangers are the biggest challenge to the Celtic team as they have gained 19 points so far but by playing just 8 matches.
The hearts, on the other hand, have 13 points for themselves as they have won four out of nine matches, scored a draw in one of the matches and lost the other 4. Last weekend the Celtics were matches against Inverness CT and they won the match with a scoreboard of 2-1 whereas the Hearts faced the Hibernians and scored 1-1 and thus it was a draw. The upcoming match is very important for the Celtics as they would need to win in order to stay the leaders. If they loose the Rangers have a high chance to override them on the league table.
