For their part, Hamilton currently reside in tenth position with sixteen points. They too have a midweek fixture, against Kilmarnock at home on Tuesday evening, so will be looking to improve their league position a little before the visit of Celtic on Saturday. Prior to their Tuesday evening home game, the result of which is still unknown, Hamilton had played nine games; they won two, drew two and lost five of these encounters.

Within the space of two games, Celtic have gone from leading the SPL by four points, to finding themselves second, a point behind arch rivals Rangers.
