League leaders Rangers travel to Edinburgh on Sunday for what is a very tough assignment against third placed side Hibs at Easter Road. The match potentially has all the hallmarks of a cracker and you can see how both teams get on by joining us here at oleolefootball.com and enjoying the live streaming football from the Scottish Premier League at its very best.
Rangers managed to draw four points ahead of bitter rivals Celtic in the race for the title last time out when they thrashed Motherwell at Ibrox while Tony Mowbray’s Celtic side were being beaten away to Hearts. Despite only going in to the half time interlude 1-0 up with a goal from Miller as early as the fifth minute, the floodgates opened in the second half with another six goals – five from Rangers and one from Motherwell. A second goal by Miller, one from Boyd, two from Lafferty and one from Beasley sealed the deal for Walter Smith’s Rangers side, while Motherwell scored their consolation goal when the score was already 3-0.
Walter Smith will not only be delighted with the three points gained, but also the score line which has boosted his team’s goal difference which could prove vital come the end of the season. As things stand now Rangers have a plus nine advantage over Celtic and plus eleven over third placed Hibs.
For their part, Hibs travelled to Aberdeen last weekend and won the game by 2-0. Goals at the end of the first half and beginning of the second were enough to give the Edinburgh side all three points. Hibs are now third in the league with 32 points, just one behind Celtic.

Boozegate duo Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor could make a return to the Rangers squad when they travel to Easter Road to take on Hibernian in a crucial SPL fixture. Sign up today to watch Hibernian v Rangers, and other SPL games live online for as little as £7.99/year.
Hibernian are currently sixth in the SPL, one point ahead of in form Motherwell. Mark McGhee’s men play St.Mirren on Saturday, which allows Hibs to know what exactly they need from their game against Rangers to remain in the top half of the table.
Fans at Easter Road have not exactly been pleased with Hibs’ recent performances. Their last three games have been draws- against Aberdeen, Dundee United and St.Mirren. In atleast two out of those three games, Hibs should have won with plenty to spare. Had they done what they should have, Hibs would be fighting with Aberdeen and United for that final European spot. Steven Fletcher scored the equaliser for Hibs in their last game against St.Mirren after Andy Dorman had put the hosts ahead.
Rangers are one point behind leaders Celtic, who play their SPL game on Saturday. Manager Walter Smith surprised one and all by saying that Ferguson and McGregor still had futures at the Ibrox, and both men could make an appearance against Hibs. With Rangers hit quite badly by injuries, Ferguson’s presence in midfield will certainly help their bid for the title.
Rangers beat Motherwell 3-1 in their last SPL game. Andrius Velicka and Kris Boyd put them 2-0 up within the first ten minutes. John Sutton raised hopes of a Motherwell comeback with his 37th minute goal, but the hopes of the Fir Park outfit were crushed when Boyd scored his second in the 65th minute from the spot.
This is an extremely important game for both sides. Watch Hibs v Rangers live to see how this one goes. Sign up today!!!
