Rangers travelled to bottom club in the SPL Falkirk this past weekend and duly came away with the win everybody expected them to. They consequently keep the pressure on bitter rivals Celtic who also won at the weekend and trail the Hoops by just two points with a game in hand. Rangers made the short trip to Falkirk last weekend and duly accomplished what was expected of them with a comfortable 3-1 victory. Kris Boyd grabbed a couple of the goals for the Blues and leads the way in the SPL scoring charts with ten goals, one ahead of second placed Scott McDonald of rivals Celtic. Rangers other goal in the match against Falkirk was scored by Miller in the 74^th minute when he coolly slotted home a penalty.

The win put Walter Smith’s team on 28 points and they share second place with Hibs. Rangers though have a game in hand over the fellow title challengers and will therefore be very happy with the position they are currently in.

St. Johnstone, for their part, Travel to Glasgow on Saturday currently occupying eighth position in the league. They have thirteen points to their name and last weekend lost 1-0 at home to Kilmarnock. Their away record this season is very average and they have two wine, one draw and for defeats on their travels.
