AC Milan will be aiming to end a poor first half of the season on a high when they take the field against Udinese in the weekend round of matches in the Italian Seria A, our coverage starting from 19:30 GMT Sunday 21^st December 2008. Milan have suffered a loss of form in recent matches and they will be desperately hoping for a change of fortunes when they host Udinese.

Milan slipped up in the chase for the Scudetto when they slumped to a 4-2 away loss against Juventus. The Rossenari looked poor in attack and although the likes of Pato and Ronaldinho put up a committed fight up front, Milan were always second best against the Old Lady of Turin. The defeat leaves Milan reeling in the chase for the title and they will need to avoid any more slip-ups heading into the winter break. As things stand. Udinese on the other hand, are a far cry from the side that nearly placed Milan in the sixth position in the UEFA Cup and while they are just a victory away from jumping up the table, their overall play has left a lot to be desired this season. Udinese need a fresh start following a poor summer transfer window and while they will be encouraged by their 3-3 win against Udinese last weekend, they will be anxious to go one better with a win over Milan this coming weekend in the Italian Seria A.
