AC Milan recorded their fifth consecutive win in the Serie A last week as they beat Catania 2-0 in Sicily. Filippo Inzaghi opened the scoring in the 27^th minute, and Kaka doubled Milan’s lead six minutes into the second half. The Rossoneri were hardly troubled by their opponents, and the winning margin could have been much higher had Milan converted all of their goal scoring opportunities.

Goalkeeper Dida is likely to miss this game because of a back injury. With Christian Abbati also injured, Zeljko Kalac should stand in between the sticks against the Bianconeri. However if Milan lose to Juventus, and Inter beat Chievo, the title race is over.

Juventus have struggled in recent weeks, and will end the season without a single piece of silverware. The Bianconeri have picked up only four points out of a possible fifteen in their last five games, and could only draw against lowly Lecce last week. Axel Konan gave Lecce a shock lead before Pavel Nedved’s second half brace put Juve 2-1 ahead. However Jose Ignacio Castillo scored an injury time equaliser to stun the home side.

Both Nedved and defender Olof Mellberg picked up yellow cards against Lecce, and will miss this game. Nicola Legrottaglie should replace Mellberg in defence. When the two sides met in December 2008, Juventus won 4-2, with Amauri scoring a brace.
