Bari squandered the lead twice to go down to Napoli last weekend. The Galletti took the lead through Paulo Vito Barretto early in the second half, but Napoli equalised five minutes later through Fabio Quaglirella. They reclaimed the lead when Andrea Ranocchia netted from close range, but were reduced to ten men Alessandro Parisi received his marching orders.

The game swung in Napoli’s favour and the hosts scored twice in the last twenty minutes to end up 3-2 winners. Bari received another setback when goal scorer Ranocchia was sent off in stoppage time. Both Ranocchia and Parisi are therefore suspended for the Juventus game.

Juventus went ahead in Turin through David Trezeguet’s final half volley but thereafter nothing went right for Ciro Ferrara’s men as they were humiliated in Turin by a determined Bayern Munich side. Martin Caceres gave away a penalty that allowed Bayern to equalise and the visitors dominated the second half by adding three more goals. Juve coach Ciro Ferrara cut a crestfallen figure on the sidelines as Bayern tore his side’s Champions League dreams to shreds.

Juventus will be without Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo on Saturday. Melo collected two yellow cards in last weekend’s crunch game against Internazionale and is therefore suspended for the Bari trip.
