Sergio Pellissier scored a hat trick as Chievo and Juventus drew 3-3 in Turin last week. Chievo went ahead twice in the game, and gave their opponents quite a few tense moments throughout the game. It would have been cruel on the Flying Donkeys had they ended up on the losing side.

The draw came after a shock 3-0 win over Lazio, meaning that Chievo have taken four points from two games when they would ordinarily have been expected to lose both. Chievo are inching closer to safety, and are currently five points ahead of Torino, who are 18th in the league. They have not been beaten in their last five Serie A games.

AC Milan needed extra time goals from veteran Filippo Inzaghi and Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho to break stubborn Lecce down last week. The game, which saw David Beckham on the bench for the very first time as a Rossoneri player, was dull, and neither team created any great chances.

Milan are now five points behind second placed Juventus.  However Genoa are also hot on Milan’s heels. Milan have beaten Chievo in the last four meetings between the two sides. Kaka scored the only goal from the spot when Milan met Chievo at the San Siro in November.
