The defending champions drew their last two games against Parma and Napoli but still have a seven point lead at the top of Serie A. Against Napoli, Sulley Muntari hit the woodwork in the first half while Goran Pandev was guilty of wasting an excellent chance after the interval. Napoli had more chances but were simply unable to convert them.
Sampdoria picked up their fourth straight league win when they beat Fiorentina 2-0 at home last weekend. The Blucerchiati took the lead through Franco Semioli’s 16th minute effort and doubled their lead just before half time thanks to Giampaolo Pazzini. Samp are currently fifth in the table, below fourth placed Napoli on goal difference.
The Ligurian outfit stunned Inter 1-0 when the two sides met in September. Will Luigi Del Neri’s men cause another upset? Catch live streaming of Internazionale vs Sampdoria online to find out.

Inter found themselves two goals behind on two occasions in their weekend clash against Roma, but the Nerazzurri fought back to draw 3-3. Mario Balotelli scored a brace for Inter, with Hernan Crespo scoring their third goal.
Inter knocked out defending champions Roma in the quarterfinals. Goals from Adriano and Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave Inter a 2-1 win. In the round of 16, Inter had beaten Genoa 3-1 in extra time. Adriano, Esteban Cambiasso and Ibrahimovic were on target for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Sampdoria are currently on a high after upsetting AC Milan in their weekend league game. Goals from Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini gave the Blucerchiati a 2-1 win, and extended their unbeaten run to six games.
Sampdoria beat Empoli in the round of 16, and then beat Udinese in the quarterfinals. The Coppa Italia is the only realistic way for them to get into Europe this season because their position in the league is not that good at this moment. They are currently 14th in the Serie A, with 32 points, and are also out of the UEFA Cup. Cassano and Pazzini are in excellent touch, and will look to carry on from where they left against Milan.
Can Sampdoria take home a miniscule advantage going into the second leg in April? Or will the might of Internazionale prevail? Do not forget to watch Inter Milan v Sampdoria in the Italian TIM Cup live this Wednesday. Sign up today, for just £7.99/year.
